Billiards Aiming Techniques

I know that aiming at billiards with precision can be quite difficult sometimes especially when you’re trying to pocket a desired ball billiards-aimingto go into one of the six holes in a pool table. I can speak from experience because I’ve been in this situation so many times and still find myself not being able to land a desired ball to fall in a pocket at any given time.

For this post, I’ll provide a video below that goes into detail as to where you can have a more accurate shot in hitting the cue ball more effectively. Had I known about YouTube from many years ago, I might have been a season pro, or close to it, by now.

You can play the game of pool to have more fun which leads to a more enjoyable experience. Don’t forget to rub the chalk on the tip of the cue stick before aiming to strike the ball.

I hope you like this post. And, as always, please share this video on social media if you do. Also, add any thoughts, comments, or questions that you might have in the comments section below, and I’ll answer you as quickly as I can to the best of my ability. Thanks for stopping by.

I love playing pool, I just don’t get to do it as much as I’d like. I have never had any formal training, I just eyeball it.

However the aiming techniques in the video will certainly help me aim better. Knowing how to strike the cue ball is obviously the key to getting better.

It’s been a while since I racked them up, I sure do miss shooting pool! This is a great video and has very helpful info on it.

The angles can certainly be tricky, he had some good points. I like the ghost ball analogy.

The best advice I ever heard was from Minnesota Fats – make your easy shots first, then you won’t have any hard ones.

Hello Scott! Yes, shooting pool is quite a fun activity. I still have trouble finding and pocketing the balls from time to time. But, all it takes is practice and dedication to get the move right. I never heard of Minnesota Fats, and that sounds like good advice as well. I’ll be sure to check them out. Thanks for stating that and commenting on this site. All the best.

      Cheers!
