Pendulum vs Piston Stroke

Hello, hello! I hope you are all doing well and having fun shooting pool or other forms of Pendulum and Piston Strokegaming out there. In this post, I’ll be going over something I’ve found online while trying to find some in doing research that’s in relation to billiards.

To be more direct, it’s something that has to do with the “how-to” part of playing this game. To the seasoned professional that’s played this game for a long time, I am sure that they’ve heard of the pendulum or piston stroke.

To the novices who’s never known how this relates to billiards, the pendulum and piston stroke pertains to the arm movement while striking the cue ball. The only difference is that the pendulum stroke is where the upper part of the arm is not being moved while before striking the cue ball. On the other hand, the piston stroke is where both the upper and lower part of the arm is in movement.

I have a YouTube video that you can see below on how this is being done. I hope that this helps you in becoming a more proficient player. But, more importantly, I hope that you are able to enjoy the game more this way. Feel free to share your thoughts about this post, and please share on social media. I thank you for stopping by. Cheers!
