I was in a pool league for twenty years and always saw blue chalk. I used to go to a friends house to shoot and he had tan chalk and a tan felted table. He told me it reduces the smudge marks that are visible when using a different color chalk. Don’t know if that is is true.

Three years ago I buy a house with a very nice Brunswick table left by the previous owner. It had a red felt (original to the table). He had red chalk. He told me the same thing when I questioned him.

    Just my two cents!!

Hi Jeffrey! Thanks for stopping by and providing that. I feel that’s a great idea for chalk colors for shooting pool should match the color of the felt of the pool table. Perhaps I’ll make a post about that in the future. By the way, how do you enjoy shooting pool using that red felt and chalk? Hopefully, I’ll see you again in the future. Cheers!

Hi there, Collins! Thanks so much for the comment. Yes, there are different types of colors of pool chalk. It wasn’t too long ago that I found out about this. Though, the color of the chalk may not really play a large role in playing pool where the performance is really counts. I just thought I’d add some variety to the accessories on this site. I thank you for stopping by. Cheers!

I never realised that there were different colors. However now that I’ve read this I remembered seeing green chalk once. I only thought that it was kind of improvised, because they ran out of blue chalk. Now I know better!

    Thanks for the info.

Hi there, Jelle! Yes, different colors to the cue chalk do exist, and I just found out about this not too long ago. I have seen green chalk as well, though I feel that the blue colored ones are the most common and are more widespread. Yes, now you know that there are different colors of cue chalk. I look forward to hearing from you again. Cheers!

    So interesting!!

I didn’t know that billiard chalks came in different colors.
It seems like hell of a product, which you have also mentioned that it’s used by some pro league players. FrÅŸctÅŸon and grip are probably the most important factors.

Thanks for enlightening me on such an interesting subject. Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks so much, Tyler! I didn’t know that there were other colors of billiards chalk until recently. I just thought that I’d share it since I know that there are people that like variety. I thought to myself, “Why not promote different colors of billiards chalk on this site?” Well, I did and there will be more variety of billiards and gaming products to be promoted on this site. I have never heard of the FrÅŸctÅŸon before. I’ll be sure to look into that. I am glad that you’re enlightened about this post. I look forward to hearing from you again. Cheers!
